Comforting, supportive, releasing and relaxing. Restorative yoga allows the body and mind to completely let go in supported postures using blankets and bolsters. Many stress-relieving benefits, including the possibility of reducing high blood pressure and stress-induced disorders. Suitable for absolutely everyone. I do however recommend this session for those with lower fitness level. Advise the teacher beforehand if you have any medical issues.
Join my Beginners Class and help restore the balance in your life, re-energise your body, spirit and mind, and bring clarity and inner peace. A gentle class option for anyone who wants to increase joint flexibility as well as decrease stress and stiffness in the body. Any person of any age may come to this class and it is especially accessible for mature students and senior citizens. Building a strong foundation from the start is key to longevity in yoga. My monthly beginners class is suitable for absolute beginners who wish to build a good foundation for their practice. This class covers the important basics of yoga practice; postures, alignment, pranayama (breathing), engaging in a mindful practice and meditation. Emphasis is placed on building a safe, individual practice that works for you.
My Yoga classes are small so I can tailor each class to suit the various levels in that class. Classes focus on overall well being, using different styles and techniques. If you need to focus on the well being of a particular body part, a one on one class is best.
Asanas change every week. I use themes that are relevant to our modern lifestyle, focusing on emotions, healing parts of the body and Chakras, strength, flexibility, or a blend of these elements. I’m mindful of specific difficulties that students may be experiencing, and I work on these elements, explaining each Asana to make it clearer.
