Do Yoga = Feel Amazing

Ancient Yogis believed that, in order for man to be in harmony with himself and his environment, he needed to integrate the body, mind and spirit. To find harmony, emotion, action and intelligence must be in balance. This is achieved through the three main structures of Yoga; exercise, breathing and meditation.

At Gurpreet Sidhu Yoga Centre I work along with you to achieve “Healing”. Healing can only come from within an individual; it’s a physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual process of becoming whole again.

Often we take our health for granted, living busy, stressful lives. So many of today’s health issues are diseases of our culture, diseases resulting from our choices. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Through better lifestyle choices, it is possible to restore balance and achieve a stress-free, healthy and happy life.

I grew up in India where spirituality and Yoga are a part of our culture and a way of life. As a qualified Yoga Instructor I am inspired to share with you the practice and philosophy of Yoga in a simple, joyful, self-renewing way.

I hope that you will come to view Gurpreet Sidhu Yoga Centre as a refuge, a place to come and immediately upon entering feel your stress melt away.

If you are trying Yoga for the first time, perhaps at the insistence of a family member or a friend, and you are skeptical of what Yoga can do for you, my advice is simple; relax your body and mind, be open to receiving, have faith and practice with faith.

General Wellbeing Through Yoga

Ancient Yogis believed that, in order for man to be in harmony with himself and his environment, he needed to integrate the body, mind and spirit. To find harmony, emotion, action and intelligence must be in balance. This is achieved through the three main structures of Yoga; exercise, breathing and meditation.

As the primary instrument for work and growth, the body is treated with care and respect. Yoga exercises (Asanas) improve overall health by stimulating the abdominal organs and placing pressure on the glandular system of the body. Breath is the source of life in the body and students gently increase breath control. Breathing techniques not only improve health and function, but prepare the body and mind for meditation.

Meditation brings the activities of the mind into focus resulting in a ‘quiet’ mind. Regular practice of the three main structures of Yoga leads to clarity of mind and strength of body.
